COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – While it’ll still be hot, it won’t be as humid thanks to a weak cold front bringing slightly drier air.

Good morning! A weakening cold front passes through today, bringing a little bit of relief to our summer-like heat and humidity. The cloud cover from this morning will partially clear this afternoon. Today will still get hot, with high temperatures in the low-90s.

As this weakening front passes to our east, a stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. For almost all of us, today will be dry from start to finish. With this weak front moving through, it’ll be breezy. At times, we’ll have wind gusts of 20-25 MPH.

Behind this weak cold front, slightly drier air filters in, giving us some subtle relief from the summer-like heat and humidity. While high temperatures will still reach the 90s, it won’t feel nearly as hot thanks to lower humidity.

As quickly as we get relief, it goes away by the upcoming weekend. Thanks to a strengthening ridge of high pressure, moisture will increase, giving us more humidity and heat. This weekend, high temperatures will reach the upper-90s.
