Huntington North grad Addy Wiley wins 800-meter run at Diamond League in Qatar

DOHA, Qatar (WANE) – Halfway across the world from her home state, Addy Wiley is celebrating the latest accomplishment in her storied running career.

The Huntington North High School grad won her first Diamond League event in the 800-meter run in Doha, Qatar over the weekend. With a time of 1:57.98, Wiley beat Ethiopia’s Tsige Duguma – who won silver at the 2024 Olympic Games in the same event – by one tenth of a second.

Wiley, who races professionally for Adidas, won a national title in the 800-meter run at the USATF Indoor Championships in Staten Island, N.Y. back in March…
