The Coronado Community Foundation (CCF) recently received a $5,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Coronado to support the continued growth of Coronado Seniors A GoGo, a free transportation program serving local older adults.
The grant and “big check” were presented during the Rotary Club of Coronado’s weekly meeting on June 3, where CCF’s leadership shared an update on the program’s impact and future plans. Since launching in November 2025 through a partnership between CCF and ElderHelp of San Diego, Coronado Seniors A GoGo has provided more than 118 rides to 89 local seniors, supported by 22 active volunteer drivers.
The funding request was submitted through CCF’s Neighbors in Need initiative, which currently focuses on addressing challenges facing Coronado’s senior population. Following review and approval by the Rotary Club Board of Directors, the grant was awarded in May 2026…
