NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans police fired a major with 57 years on the force after authorities say fellow officers had to hold him back from attacking his supervisor, according to records obtained by FOX 8.
New Orleans Police Department Chief Anne Kirkpatrick terminated Raymond Burkart Jr. effective June 6 following three separate incidents involving alleged “attempted physical threats,” privacy violations and “gross insubordination.”
