Ribbon-cutting marks opening of Wells Community Aquatic Park

BLUFFTON, Ind. (WANE) – Bluffton residents are testing the waters of Wells Community Aquatic Park, the new-and-improved facility that took the place of the community pool.

It’s been open since May 25 but was celebrated Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The park includes a heated eight-lane, 25-meter competition pool, zero-depth entry, “Aqua Ninja Warrior Course,” lazy river, water playground, slides, cabanas, accessible playground, pavilion, community room, concession area and pickleball courts.

It’s a major upgrade from the previous pool, which had served the community for 57 years. City officials touted the park as one of the largest public recreation investments in its recent history.
