Artificial intelligence seems to be everywhere these days. By the end of the year, it could also be a significant part of the Lakeland Police Department’s day-to-day operations.
The department asked the city commission for permission to make a $21 million deal with Axon, a technology company that makes equipment for the military and law enforcement, at an April commission strategic planning workshop.
