Police search for suspects after juvenile shot in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A juvenile was hospitalized Monday afternoon after being shot in the leg in the Clairemont Mesa West neighborhood, authorities said.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the shooting was reported around 2:13 p.m. in the 4200 block of Genesee Avenue.

Investigators say four identified juvenile suspects opened fire on the victim before fleeing the scene southbound on Genesee Avenue in a dark gray Lexus LS460.

The victim was struck in the left leg and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities say the injury is not considered life-threatening.
