MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) – Summertime for families means vacations, fun in the sun, and a break from routine. But what doesn’t break is a family’s need for food during these months, and summer also means a slower time for food pantry donations.
St. Joseph Food Program is hosting their first food drive event titled “Jingle in June.” The event is a way to collect nonperishable items for those in need while also celebrating the halfway point to Christmas.
Keep your child’s mental health balanced this summer break
The evening will include activities like photos with Santa, letters to Santa’s station, cookies and milk, and live holiday music performed by St. Joseph Parish choir and New Horizons Swing Band.
There is also a team activity, where groups will create holiday-themed sculptures constructed from nonperishable food items. With each bag of food brought, you will receive one voting token to choose your favorite entry. The winning team will receive coupons to Lamers Dairy…
