As the 2025-26 school year and my time as Editor in Chief of the Daily Nebraskan comes to a close, I am reflecting on what an incredible year this has been. One of big accomplishments, overcoming challenges and growth that should give all DN alumni hope for the future.
My senior staff team and I entered this year with three main goals for the newsroom: building on our current momentum to engage our community digitally, building our newsroom culture internally, and expanding our coverage to represent the campus. I am happy to report that we have achieved all three.
Our first goal is all about connecting with our audience digitally, allowing us to meet students and the university communities we serve better, faster and more intentionally. As I shared last semester, we rebuilt our digital team from the ground up.
