New Orleans mayor to unveil aid plan for businesses struggling from French Quarter construction

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Following two recent restaurant closures in the French Quarter, Mayor Helena Moreno will roll out a grant program for business experiencing disruptions because of ongoing infrastructure work in the historic district.

On Tuesday (June 23), utility crews seemed busy in the 1200 hundred block of Decatur Street.

Some employees from nearby businesses said it’s a sign the city is listening to their complaints about the slow pace of construction in this part of the French Quarter…
