CHARLOTTE, N.C. – (Tuesday, June 23, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) Cold Case Unit have identified three suspects in connection to a 2017 homicide case.
On Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at approximately 8:04 p.m., officers responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call for service in the 3700 block of Monroe Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, Raymond Johnson, who was pronounced deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation, but the case eventually went cold…
