California barbecue pitmaster Matt Horn has closed another Horn Barbecue restaurant, this time in Fresno, after facing eviction earlier this month. The Fresno city attorney is now investigating the restaurant.
In a lengthy post to his personal Facebook page on Thursday, Horn confirmed the restaurant closure, adding that it marked “one of the most difficult chapters of my life” due to the financial and emotional investment he placed in his hometown.
“Fresno was never just another restaurant to me,” Horn wrote. “Fresno was home. Opening there was not simply a business expansion. It was a fulfillment of a promise I made years ago. I wanted to return to the city that helped shape me.”…
