GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) – Guilford County emergency leaders say they had a busy two hours responding to damage caused by Monday night’s storm.
Maintenance crews worked to clean up Gibson Park in High Point after the storm. The storm left trees falling over the roadway. Orange cones were placed in the road to block visitors from entering the impacted areas.

Guilford County 911 Deputy Director of Operations Christine Moore said they received more than 900 calls in response to the storm. She said calls came in from all over the county, with many in the North and Northwestern areas.
She said calls peaked with many reports of fallen trees, downed power lines and burglar alarms going off between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. She said other calls that came in were outdoor and structure fires…
