Forsyth County communities recovering after storms leave damage, outages in wake

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Many across Forsyth County are still dealing with downed power lines and trees from Monday evening’s storms.

The damage at a home on Skye Abbey Lane is among the worst in the county. A massive tree crashed through the side of the home and collapsed onto the cars parked at the side, leaving a big hole in the home that is now covered by a tarp.

Storm downs trees, powerlines across Guilford County

Downed power lines and trees lay on the roads, cars and homes across Forsyth County after the storm swept through the area. Those reports are what kept the first responders at the Forsyth County 911 busy throughout the evening.
