The Solvang Chamber of Commerce launched its annual Susan Williams Summer Music Series last week with a performance by the Molly Ringwald Project, an ’80s cover band, drawing locals to Solvang Park for the first of 11 consecutive Wednesday evening concerts.
The free, family-friendly series runs through the end of August at Solvang Park, 1630 Mission Dr., with performances beginning at 5 p.m. each Wednesday. The lineup spans a range of genres including classic rock, blues, country and jazz.
