ALBANY — Hooters, the financially struggling restaurant chain known for chicken wings and buxom waitresses in skimpy uniforms, has closed its last remaining location in the state after 15 years at 70 Wolf Road.
The final day appears to have been Sunday or Monday, as the location observed Father’s Day on its Facebook page with a photo of servers holding wings and beer and a suggestion to “Treat him to something nice today!” What seem to be the first online comments about the closure were posted Tuesday. The page does not mention the closure, and the location is listed as open on the company website. Its phone number remains operational but goes unanswered, and the automated voicemail greeting simply says that it does not accept messages.
