LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Firefighters responded to the Taco Bell on New Loudon Road in Latham on Wednesday evening for a fire. Fire officials said they arrived to a dumpster fire and also found an e-bike starting to catch fire.
Latham Fire Department First Assistant Chief Dave Filarecki said the e-bike was parked between two dumpsters. He said it belonged to an employee of the Taco Bell who had it parked there while they were working.

Filarecki said the back tire of the e-bike started to melt, and the seat caught fire. The battery started to get hot, but didn’t catch fire, which fire officials said would’ve led to a bigger problem.
