North Charlotte Backyard Swarmed by Cops After Dinnertime Shooting

A shooting last night in North Charlotte left one person fighting for life. It turned a quiet stretch of Norris Avenue, just off Statesville Avenue, into an active crime scene as officers searched a backyard behind a home. Emergency crews rushed the victim to a hospital with life-threatening injuries while Charlotte-Mecklenburg police flooded the area and detectives canvassed nearby blocks.
