A stretch of Interstate 90 in Erie County is back open after being shut down due to a truck fire that broke out early this morning.
Emergency calls came in just after midnight on June 24, reporting a fully engulfed truck in the eastbound lanes of I-90, between the Station Road and I-86 exits. Firefighters on scene found the vehicle heavily involved in flames.
Additional crews from nearby departments, including Harborcreek, were called in to assist with containing the blaze. Responders were advised to proceed with caution due to concerns about materials inside the truck popping and potentially posing additional hazards…
