WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — After nine months of work, Supermercado Mexico’s Chicago Drive location is back open, aiming to provide a “home away from home” for its customers.
The store at 1160 Chicago Drive SW near Godfrey Avenue in Wyoming closed last year for infrastructure repairs and renovations. On Friday, it officially reopened.
“We had people waiting out the front door ready for us to open,” Supermercado Mexico President and CEO Benjamin Cochran said. “That’s kind of the same sentiment that we have received over time: ‘We cannot wait for you to get for you to get open. This is our neighborhood store.’”
