Greer’s Largest Annual Event Honors Military and Celebrates Freedom

Skydivers, fireworks, and a tribute to America’s military are among the highlights of the lineup at this year’s Freedom Blast event in the City of Greer.

Freedom Blast will take over Greer City Park and surrounding streets on Saturday, June 27 beginning at 6 p.m. The festival, entertainment, and parking are free, but attendees can pay for access to a Kids Zone with amusement rides and purchase food, drinks, and merchandise throughout the event.

Upstate celebrity, JDew, will serve as the master of ceremonies. The event will begin on with a skydiving flag show landing in Greer City Park. A military tribute will begin at 6:30 and will include the 20th Force Support Squadron from Shaw Air Force Base, Marine veteran Ryland Underwood singing the national anthem, and the MSG Preston B.
