Virginia lawyers, gun shop share thoughts on new gun laws

VINTON, Va. (WFXR) – Approved in April by the General Assembly, House Bill 21 and Senate Bill 27 are set to go into law in one week.

The laws prohibit a number of things, including an essential ban on assault weapons. They also put a cap on the sale of high-capacity magazines.

Governor Abigail Spanberger and Attorney General Jay Jones said this was needed to curb gun violence in the Commonwealth. Legal experts said questions still remain about enforcing these new laws…
