ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – New court records obtained by WDBJ7 show animal-related charges were filed earlier this year at the same Vinton home where 59 cats died in a fire.
The fire happened just before 5 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of Gunn Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the front of the home. One resident was injured and remains hospitalized, according to fire officials.
Days after the fire, WDBJ7 obtained court documents showing Kasey Giles received court summons in February in relation to charges of animal overcrowding and animal nuisance violations at 271 Gunn Avenue, the same address where the fire occurred…
