Dustin Poirier says he needs help after airport arrest video surfaces

ATLANTA (WVUE) – Dustin Poirier admits he needs help after police said he was arrested on a public drunkenness charge at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Poirier, 37, posted a statement to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, June 23, after video released by the Atlanta Police Department showed him apparently intoxicated, yelling profanities and acting aggressively before being handcuffed and taken into custody.

Police said Poirier had been denied boarding a Delta flight before the arrest Sunday, June 21.

“Im at the point where I need some help,” Poirier wrote. “walking away from fighting hasn’t been easy on me and alcohol isn’t the answer. It has ruined my father’s life and I will not allow it to ruin mine, my family deserve me at 100%. I’m trying to do everything I can to get my mind right and take the right next steps.”…
