WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A spokesperson for Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph said a “potential security concern” is being assessed at the hospital on Wednesday.
The spokesperson said safety is the hospital’s highest priority, so there will be restricted access to the facility while the potential threat is being addressed.

“Our team is working closely with local law enforcement and security personnel to thoroughly assess a potential security concern,” the Via Christi spokesperson said. “We have temporarily restricted access as a precautionary measure, and we kindly ask for the community’s patience as we address the matter.”
