SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Sioux Falls police responded to a weapons violation call at 6:42 a.m. on June 24, near West Russell Street and North Westport Avenue.
The caller said that someone was pounding on his door. When he opened it, a man with a knife was standing there, and he began yelling and screaming at him, police said in an email to KELOLAND News.
A woman who was with the man ran past the caller and into the room. The man then stabbed the door with his knife, and the caller ran out of the room to the office of the motel to call 911.
