Convicted felon found with loaded Glock, narcotics for sale during traffic stop: LPD

(KRON) — The Livermore Police Department said a man pulled over Wednesday after running a stop sign was found to have a loaded firearm and suspected narcotics for sale inside his vehicle.

LPD said the incident happened around 8:20 a.m. near Holmes Street and Alden Lane.

The driver, identified as Francisco Perez, 35, of Pleasanton, was also driving with a suspended driver’s license due to a prior DUI, according to police.

Police said a canvas of the vehicle before it was towed uncovered a “loaded Glock handgun and more than one ounce of cocaine packaged for sale. Further investigation revealed Perez is a convicted felon.”

Perez was arrested and booked on suspicion of multiple felony charges, including felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of cocaine for sale, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and felon in possession of ammunition…
