Caltrans workers rescued the driver of a vehicle that crashed into the back of a maintenance truck while crews were doing work on the 5 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley Thursday morning.
The collision first reported at approximately 10:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway in Pacoima, near the 118 Freeway.
Sky5’s Rich Prickett was over the scene at 11:30 a.m., where both Caltrans and the CHP were seen responding. There was extensive damage to the grey sedan.
Caltrans tells KTLA that several District 7 electrical maintenance trucks and workers were on site repairing a damaged light pole when the vehicle crashed into one of their parked trucks…
