‘I’ve got a second chance at life’ Lincoln man saved after bystander gives CPR amid cardiac arrest

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man is alive and well after surviving a sudden cardiac arrest earlier this year, thanks in part to the efforts of a bystander who gave him CPR.

77-year-old Carl Bouges said it happened in late February, at the Cappy’s sports bar near 48th and Nebraska Parkway.

He was out to see his favorite band perform, when he felt short of breath and eventually fell out of his chair to the floor and passed out…
