Man sentenced to 90 months for 2024 carjacking in south Uptown

A man has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison for his role in a 2024 Minneapolis carjacking that left two victims injured.

Havion Eddie Amaru Holmes, 24, was sentenced to 90 months in prison in U.S. District Court this week. He previously pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting a violent carjacking in connection with the Aug. 24, 2024 incident on the 3500 block of Aldrich Avenue South, in the South Uptown neighborhood.
