Minneapolis and St. Paul are among the best places to celebrate the 4th of July this year

Fireworks and patriotic activities are expected to be a little more boisterous in 2026 when the U.S. celebrates its 250th anniversary. For those looking to find the finest spots to celebrate, Minneapolis and St. Paul are near the top of the list.

Both cities placed highly in personal finance site WalletHub’s annual list of the best places to celebrate the Fourth of July. The newly-released ranking has Minneapolis in fifth place and St. Paul just one spot behind.

That’s one slot back from where both cities ranked last year, but keeps both of them near the top of the 100-city list.

While WalletHub might have dropped both cities by a spot, St. Paul is planning to be extra festive this year, with the Rotary Club of St. Paul bringing a non-Saints-affiliated fireworks display back to the capital…
