FAIRPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — A local group gathered Thursday at Mulconry’s Irish Pub in Fairport to mark Anthony Bourdain Day, celebrating the late chef, author and television personality on what would have been his 70th birthday.
Anthony Tringale, owner of Eat Local New York, said the idea was simple: get people out to a local pub, put a pint in their hands and give them a chance to meet someone new.
“I think if this event gets somebody out to a local pub they’ve never been to before, gets a pint in their hand, and then meeting somebody that they’ve never met before, I think it’s a job well done,” Tringale said…
