Tickets are $20 for the dance party and $30 to attend both that and the workshop.

Opening Night with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra: It’s showtime at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park (222 Marina Park Way) starting at 7:30 p.m. Conductor and artistic director Rafael Payare will lead the company through Dmitri Shostakovich’s “Festive Overture” before violinist Stefan Jackiw joins them for performances of Sergei Prokofiev’s “Violin Concerto No. 2” and Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 5.” Tickets range from $39 to $124…
