Overnight closures planned for I-10 in Baton Rouge this weekend

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Drivers traveling on Interstate 10 in Baton Rouge should expect overnight lane and ramp closures this weekend as work continues on the I-10 Widening and Reconstruction Project.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced the following closures, weather permitting:

  • I-10 westbound Perkins Road on-ramp: Fully closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28.
  • I-10 westbound from the Perkins Road on-ramp to the Dalrymple Drive off-ramp: Right lane closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28.

DOTD said the closures are necessary to allow construction crews to continue work on the interstate widening project.
