Flash flooding strands people, vehicles throughout south-central Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Update: — Wichita Fire Department crews near MacArthur and Maize Road are using a boat to help a family stranded at their home due to the rising waters. 12 News spoke with a woman at the scene who said that six people in the home are family, including her daughter.

At the scene, the water is high enough to nearly submerge an unoccupied pickup that’s parked in front of the home.
