Jersey City’s somewhat overlooked Marion neighborhood will be getting a new grocery market as a major development on West Side Avenue nears completion.
West Side Square Development Fund, a four-partner team comprised of Lanterra Developments, Westdale Properties, Lantree Developments, and Altree Developments, has announced the signing of Square Market as the first retail tenant at West Side Square. The project is located at 1075 West Side Avenue at the site of the former Puccini’s restaurant.
Square Market will occupy 1,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space, bringing a convenient neighborhood market with a wide range of everyday essentials. Bobby Antonicello Jr. of GRID Commercial Real Estate Advisors represented both sides of the transaction.
“We have always envisioned West Side Square to be much more than just a place to start and end the day,” said Raphael Mandelbaum, Principal at Lantree Developments. “Welcoming Square Market as our first retail tenant is another step toward realizing our vision of creating a vibrant neighborhood destination, and we are excited to announce additional retail tenants in the months to come.”…
