On-duty MTA employee assaulted in NYC subway station: NYPD

FOREST HILLS, Queens (PIX11) — Police are on the hunt after an on-duty MTA employee was assaulted at a subway station in Queens, according to officials.

The suspect began arguing with the 51-year-old MTA worker on the E train platform at the 71st Avenue subway station on Wednesday around 10 p.m., police said.

The man then punched the worker multiple times in the face before hopping on board the E train, officials reported.

The 51-year-old was taken to the hospital, where he was expected to survive. Police have released the following photo in connection with the incident.
