One of two men charged in a 2023 shooting death outside an Ocala Burger King has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to a 15-year prison sentence.
His co-defendant has decided to take his case to trial. Jury selection is set for June 29.
On June 25, David Smith III pleaded no contest to third-degree murder with a firearm.
