Milwaukee man charged with homicide by intoxicated driving in fatal crash

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A 23-year-old Milwaukee man is facing five felony charges after prosecutors say he caused a fatal crash while intoxicated before fleeing the scene.

According to court records, Alan V. Ontiveros is charged with:

  • Homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle(Up to 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine)
  • Second-degree reckless homicide(Up to 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine)
  • Hit-and-run resulting in death(Up to 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine)
  • Knowingly operating a motor vehicle without a valid license causing death(Up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine)
  • Homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration(Up to 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine)

The charges stem from a crash that happened shortly after 1:15 a.m. Sunday, June 21 near 11th Street and W. Greenfield Avenue.
