KENNER, La. (WGNO) — Motorists no longer have to worry about getting a brake tag in the City of Kenner.
In the beginning of the year, the Louisiana State Legislature removed the statewide requirements for vehicles to have brake tags.
However, some cities within Jefferson Parish, like Kenner, still required the inspection stickers. Kenner Chief of Police Keith Conley said keeping the sticker would cause unnecessary confusion.

“Now, that unincorporated Jefferson Parish is not required to have brake tags, other than the four municipalities, we’re not going to know what vehicle is supposed to have a brake tag and what vehicles are not supposed to have a brake tag,” Conley said…
