KCK woman sentenced after Leavenworth County chase ends in deputy shootout

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City, Kansas, woman has been sentenced after a pursuit in Leavenworth County led to a shootout with deputies.

Mariah A. Huggins, 29, was sentenced to one year in prison after pleading guilty in May to one count of fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.

The passenger in the vehicle, Andrew Amundsen, previously pleaded no contest to attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer. He was sentenced to life on June 5th…
