ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – King Salmon are running through Ship Creek, located in the heart of downtown Anchorage. Alaska’s News Source spoke with the owner of the Bait Shack about what newbie anglers need to keep in mind before heading out.
“Ship Creek is very inviting,” Dustin Slinker, the owner of the Bait Shack located at Ship Creek, said. “New anglers fishing around the tides — it becomes easy with spinners, becomes easy with bait off the bottom with spinning gloves, bait under a bobber down there.”
