Anchorage students explore careers through summer CTE program ahead of high school

The Anchorage School District is helping incoming high school freshmen get a head start on career planning through a summer learning program.

The Career and Technical Education program gives incoming ninth graders a chance to explore careers through hands-on learning before they begin high school.

Students can explore up to six different career fields, take part in career and education planning, and even earn a half-credit before their freshman year starts…
