City addressing some issues at Ala Wai parks, but not broken footbridge at this time

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Many Ala Wai residents are hoping improvements can be made to maintain two highly used parks in the neighborhood. City officials said they are aware of the issues and are doing what they can.

City crews are hard at work installing fencing around the Makiki Community Garden. Work should start soon to put up fencing around the Ala Wai Community Garden as well. Many parkgoers are hoping improvements can also be done at the nearby Ala Wai Neighborhood Park and the Ala Wai Community Park.
