Tennessee Tribune founder Rosetta Perry dies at 91

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The founder and leader of the only statewide African-American newspaper, Rosetta Irvin Miller-Perry has died.

Miller-Perry founded the Tennessee Tribune in the 1990s, investing thousands of dollars into the publication. The Tribune highlights the African-American and minority communities locally, regionally, and nationally, according to the newspaper’s website.

Circulated in Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Memphis, the publication tries to spread positive influence around the Black community.
