Motorcyclist injured after striking bear in Blount County: THP

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A motorcyclist was injured during a crash in Blount County that a witness said involved a bear, according to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

A 69-year-old woman was driving east on Lamar Alexander Parkway Friday evening. Around 6:15 p.m., she lost control of her motorcycle and skid to an uncontrolled final rest in the middle of the road, the THP said. She was injured.
