Police: Arlington Man Apprehended For Making False 911 Call About Shooting

Arlington police apprehended a man who they claim submitted a false report about a shooting.

Officers received a call at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday from a visitor at a motel in the 3000 block of Abram St. reporting that someone had been shot.

When cops arrived, they discovered no indication of a shooting or any criminal activity. They said they spoke with 41-year-old Oscar Vela Jr., who acknowledged fabricating the fraudulent allegation…
