OTR building set for $64M conversion wins millions in state historic tax credits

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – The historic Alms & Doepke building in Over-the-Rhine on the edge of downtown won $5 million in state historic tax credits, a key part of financing its eventual $64 million conversion from former county office to 149 apartments, plus first-floor commercial space.

Stough Development Corp. CEO Scott Stough thanked the state for the award, which was in the amount requested.

“Receiving Ohio Historic Tax Credits is a tremendous milestone for our team and another important step toward bringing the Alms & Doepke building back to life,” Stough told the Business Courier. “This project is about much more than restoring a beautiful building.
