Grant, Loving to be arraigned Monday in Fairview triple homicide case

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A Buncombe County teenager accused of killing three members of her family is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning in Buncombe County Superior Court as one of Western North Carolina’s most closely watched homicide cases moves into its next stage.

Star Melody Grant, 16, is scheduled to appear in Courtroom 710 of the Buncombe County Courthouse. Co-defendant Devan O’Neal Loving, 28, is also scheduled to be arraigned Monday.

Grant faces three counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony conspiracy in connection with the May 1 deaths of her father, Travis Eugene Grant; her mother, Kimberly Michelle Grant; and her grandmother, Sharon Harwood Grant. Loving has been indicted on first-degree murder charges…
