NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio (WXIX) – Youth and faith leaders in North College Hill organized a peace walk Sunday after the killing of 18-year-old Breal Wade, drawing community members, elected officials and public safety leaders to the streets.
The walk came nearly one week after Wade was fatally shot outside her home. It also followed a weekend of gun violence that left two people dead and three others injured in separate shootings.
The walk
Participants covered 1.3 miles through the neighborhood, along Goodman, across Simpson and down Galbraith, carrying water bottles and coolers as they marched.
